WHAT IS BHAGWAT GEETA ?

Bhagavad Gita uncovers the character of God and Srimad Bhagavatam (a.k.a Bhagavata Mahapurana) uncovers the exercises of God.

Bhagavad Gita comes in the Bhisma (sixth) Parva of the extraordinary epic Mahabharata (Chapters 25 through 42). It is an exchange between Lord Krishna and Arjuna. There are absolute 700 sections in Gita and it is otherwise called the embodiment all things considered. Ruler Krishna in Verse 15.15 portray the reason for the Vedas. He says - "Vedais ca sarvair aham eva vedyo" - of the considerable number of Vedas, I am to be known. This implies the reason for the Vedas is to know Lord Krishna. This is the import of the Vedas and Lord Krishna gives this in one line. Ofcourse there is other information in Bhagavad Gita.

Bhagwat geeta said:- Jiva (Soul), Ishvara (GOD), Prakriti (Material Nature), Kaal (Time) and Karma (activities and responses). It can give an away from of these subjects. Yet, more explicitly, the Gita depicts the best Aradhya (object of love), which is Lord Krishna Himself and the best Sadhana (procedure of love), which is Bhakti Yoga.

Srimad Bhagavatam then again is a Puarana. Ruler Chaitanya Mahaprabhu portrayed it as the "Amala Purana" (unblemished writing). Srimad Bhagavatam is the most noteworthy position and the final say regarding Vedic Canon. There are 18,000 refrains in Bhagavatam and it is sorted out in 12 cantos (Skandhas).
Bhagavatam was accumulated by Veda Vyas in the most raised period of improvement. Srimad Bhagavatam itself depicts its dependability. It is referenced in the Bhagavatam (first Canto, fourth Chapter) that resulting to social occasion all the Vedas, Ved Vyas was not satisfied and he was feeling discouraged. He by then created Vedanta Sutras (publication on Vedas), yet simultaneously he was feeling unsatisfied in his heart. He was significantly considering on the purpose behind his bleakness and around then his Spiritual Master - the Great Sage Narada appeared there. Narada Muni first offered acclamations to Ved Vyas on his phenomenol task of social occasion the Vedas, which was an immense endeavor for any one. In any case, later he chastised Ved Vyas.

Ved Vyas was additionally prompted by Narada Muni to examine (in contemplation) on the exercises of the especially Transcendental Lord Vasudeva and his unadulterated and unalloyed aficionados and afterward accumulate a writing that portrays these exercises.

Adhering to the guidelines of his Spiritual Master, Ved Vyas reflected on the Absolute Supreme Lord and in his contemplation, he saw the Absolute Personality of Godhead alongside his fanciful (Maya) intensity, which was totally in charge of the Lord. He additionally observed that all the Jivas (conventional spirits) are heavily influenced by this fanciful (Maya) power. The main way the conventional spirits can be liberated from the grip of Maya is by rendering reverential support of the Supreme Lord Vasudeva. The motivation to render reverential help must be inferred when these spirits give aural gathering to the supernatural Name, Fame, Form and Activities of the Lord. In this way, he incorporated the especially supernatural writing - Srimad Bhagavatam.

Further, when King Parikshit (terrific child of Arjuna) was reviled by a Son of a Brahmana to bite the dust inside seven days, he revoked his realm and went to the sages and asked about the obligation of an individual who is going to kick the bucket in seven days. Around then, the Great Sage Sukhdeva Goswami advised him to hear Srimad Bhagavatam. So King Parikshit plunked down and fasted from food and water for seven days and without resting, he heard Bhagavatam from Sage Sukhdeva Goswami and he was eventually moved to the Vaikuntha (Spiritual) planets (a.k.a. Realm of God), which is supernatural even to the eminent planets (dwelling place of Lord Indra and Brahma).
Srimad Bhagavatam propounds the highest truth and no other Vedic literature can match the authority of Srimad Bhagavatam. This is mentioned in Srimad Bhagavatam itself
In simple words, Srimad Bhagavatam is a natural extension of Bhagavad Gita. Bhagavad Gita starts by describing that we are not our bodies, we are souls (BG 2.13) and Bhagavad Gita ends by describing that the highest (Para) Dharma of the soul is to surrender to Supreme Lord Krishna (BG 18.66). Srimad Bhagavatam starts by describing that the highest (Para) Dharma of the soul is to render unalloyed devotional service and ultimately to surrender unto Supreme Lord Krishna (SB 1.2.13).
I highly recommend that you read Bhagavad Gita As It Is by His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada. This book can give a very clear and crisp understanding of Bhagavad Gita and the true essence of the Vedas.
Srila Prabhupada also wrote elaborate commentaries on Srimad Bhagavatam and in most ISKCON centers, the Srimad Bhagavatam (18 Volume) Sets are available (in mutiple languages) for a nominal cost. I highly encourage you to get a Bhagavatam set for you and read this supremely transcendental literature. It is not only auspicious, but it will help you to attain the highest goal of human form of life.
